Earning a wage doing what you are told to do when you are told to do it, asking for permission even to have a day off.

Ideally the freedom of being your own boss, working the hours that suit you. The paperwork, the long hours getting a business going, overheads, repaying capital loans ... it could be several years before it shows a real profit, with no guarantee your business will work (no proven system to follow).

More certain of success (copying a proven formula), but some of the same problems as becoming self-employed, and with probably a much higher initial outlay entailing several years work before real profits show.

Odds of 14 million to one (more chance of being hit by lightening twice in the same week) and you may need a job for a couple of hundred years till your numbers come up!

Similar concept to a franchise, where you become a franchisee and then show other people how to become one too, but with a much much lower initial investment than a bricks and mortar business,
(recoup your outlay in weeks rather than years). Flexible enough to
be worked full-time or part-time around your existing commitments.
Earn money and learn the skills as you go, rather than 3 years at
college before you start.
